I am a life long Mormon and absolutely agree with everything you said. I would add that the issue of immigration is also covered in the "love one another" commandment, and that we should take that commandment very seriously. I firmly believe that this entire life is mostly about learning how to love others, no matter what their religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, social standing, etc. Love everyone!

i feel blessed to have had the opportunity to read this... a link posted by a friend of a friend on facebook... i was raised in the church, and while i haven't always been an active member, i never stopped believing what i was taught as a child... i agree with what Shelly has said here... i believe that we are here to learn how to love unconditionally... the law of charity being the key to everything that is important in this life... the way you quoted from the scriptures is absolutely right on... i think more people need to realize how far they have drifted from the teachings in the Book of Mormon... thank you so much!
